Existing Fireplace Remodels
Sometimes it's hard to love your fireplace when it's surrounded by outdated tile or brick or with colors which no longer work with your home anymore. We want you to love your fireplace, let us help you design a fireplace surround that makes you want to use it every day. We have unlimited options with mantle style, surround and hearth materials. If you’re watching the budget a remodel could be the best approach. Remodels tend to be quick and more cost effective than a complete renovation.
Gas Fireplace Conversions
Having a gas fireplace is a beautiful luxury that many home owners love to have today. Even if you already have a wood burning fireplace, a large part of our business is focused on converting existing wood burning fireplaces into easy to use, fully gas operated fireplaces.
Fireplace & Chimney Repair
Whether your fireplace burns wood or gas, issues with your fireplace and chimney may come up over the lifetime of your home. We are licensed and certified and available to service, clean, repair, re-line, and restore your fireplace and chimney. Our technicians work safely and efficiently with gas fireplace hook ups to ensure they work properly.
Inspections & Certifications
Central Jersey Fireplace is fully certified and licensed to inspect your fireplace and chimney for any upcoming inspections.
If your appliance or your venting system has not changed and you plan to use your system as you have in the past, then a Level 1 inspection is a minimum requirement. A Level 1 inspection is recommended for a chimney under continued service, under the same conditions, and with the continued use of the same appliance.
A Level 2 inspection is required when any changes are made to the system. Changes can include a change in the fuel type, changes to the shape of, or material in, the flue, or the replacement or addition of an appliance of a dissimilar type, input rating or efficiency. Additionally, a Level 2 inspection is required upon the sale or transfer of a property.
A Level 3 inspection includes all the areas and items checked in a Level 1 and a Level 2 inspection, as well as the removal of certain components of the building or chimney where necessary.
Annual Maintenance & Cleaning
It's extremely important to maintain and service your fireplace annually. We are a certified chimney sweep and also offer a routine procedure for cleaning and maintenance.
Mantels & Accessories
No fireplace is complete without a beautiful mantel hanging above it. We offer custom mantel designs and options for any home style and design. We also offer a wide range of fireplace doors, screens, fronts, and accessories. We'll work with you to select the right products as we design your dream fireplace.
New & Replacement Chimney & Furnace Liners
Liners within chimneys and furnaces act as a protectant layer which makes your home safer and more efficient. They typically come in the form of clay, ceramic, or metal. Their purpose is intended to contain the combustion products, direct them to the outside atmosphere, and protect the heat source walls from heat and corrosion.
Although building codes vary from one state or locality to another, the installation of flue and furnace lining has been recommended since the early part of this century, and indeed most fire codes now mandate liners.
